Save the date: 5th Mission Arena, Antwerp, 2 and 3 March 2027
The 5th Mission Arena, organised by the project BlueMissionBANOS 2030, will take place in Antwerp, Belgium, on 2 and 3 March 2027. Registrations will open in November 2026. In the context of this event, the AlgaeProBANOS project will hold its final project event, featuring four workshops co-organised with other algae initiatives.
What are the Mission Arenas?
Mission Arenas are transnational events organised by the BlueMissionBANOS project (2022 to 2025) and its successor, BlueMissionBANOS 2030. The event offers two days of workshops, pitching sessions, demonstrations, and networking. It brings together stakeholders to explore innovative solutions and showcase local, regional, and national approaches to the EU Mission "Restore our Ocean and Waters" in the Baltic and North Sea Region. The focus is on the Mission's three objectives: protecting and restoring marine ecosystems and biodiversity, preventing and eliminating pollution, and making the blue economy circular and carbon neutral.
Who are Mission Arenas for?
The event will bring together innovators, policy makers, researchers, funders, NGOs, and citizen initiatives from across the BANOS region and beyond. Various projects from all the themes of Mission Ocean will get the chance to host inspiring interactive sessions and offer participants the opportunity to learn about Mission Ocean deployment in the region.
AlgaeProBANOS will host its final project event within the Mission Arena, with four 90-minute workshops co-organised with other algae initiatives. The sessions will showcase what the project has achieved and give the stage to its pilots and accelerator participants, bringing together algae entrepreneurs and experts from across Europe. Between sessions, participants can network over algae-based catering, with food made from products developed by the project's pilots. More information on the sessions of the final event will be available by the beginning of December.
