AlgaeProBANOS course “Algae Innovation and Entrepreneurship” is now available
Algae are increasingly recognised as a key resource in the transition towards a more sustainable and innovative bioeconomy. From food and feed to materials and high-value ingredients, their potential continues to expand across sectors.
To support this growing field, the AlgaeProBANOS project has launched a new free online course: “Algae Innovation and Entrepreneurship.”
Who is the course for?
The course is designed for a broad audience, including students, researchers, professionals, and entrepreneurs interested in sustainability, aquaculture, food innovation, and the blue bioeconomy.
It is also relevant for those looking to explore new opportunities and applications of algae across different sectors.
How it is structured
The course is organised as a 4-week programme, requiring approximately four to six hours per week, and can be followed at an individual pace.
It is structured into thematic modules covering:
- algae cultivation and production systems
- processing and product development
- applications across sectors
- business development and market opportunities
Each module combines articles, videos, and interactive elements to support engagement and learning.
