AlgaeProBANOS Partners Meet in Ghent: Moving Forward Together
From April 14–16, 2026, partners of the AlgaePro BANOS project came together in Ghent, Belgium, for a dynamic three-day meeting focused on collaboration, reflection, and planning the next steps.

A central moment of the meeting was the Work Package (WP) progress presentations on the final day, where each WP shared key achievements and lessons learned. These sessions offered a comprehensive overview of the project’s advancement and highlighted strong momentum across activities: from pilot development to tools and stakeholder engagement. Just as importantly, they opened space for discussion, helping partners align on priorities for the coming months.
Beyond the presentations, the meeting created valuable opportunities to connect and learn from each other. Workshops, networking sessions, and informal exchanges throughout the agenda strengthened collaboration across the consortium.
A particular highlight was stepping outside the meeting room through two on-site visits. Partners explored either the University of Ghent laboratories or the Heirbaut farm, gaining first-hand insight into research and real-world applications of algae-based solutions.

Overall, the Ghent meeting marked an important milestone for the project. With clear progress across WPs and renewed energy from in-person exchanges, the consortium is ready to move forward into the next phase.
