Ending the year big: AlgaeProBANOS at Mission Arena and AlgaEurope

AlgaeProBANOS participated in Mission Arena 3 in Amsterdam with two engaging workshops.
Our panelists and consortium members shared their expertise and insights on LCA in the blue bioeconomy and how to effectively communicate the sustainability benefits of algae products to customers, end-users, and regulators. Both sessions sparked lively discussions and brought forward excellent points from the participants! At AlgaEurope, we showcased progress through our pilots—Vetik, PowerAlgae, and AlgieCell—and a presentation by the Submariner Network about the latest updates on AlgaeProBANOS in Athens. Over the course of three days, AlgaeProBANOS participated in insightful discussions, diving deep into European algae-related challenges and opportunities.

On Day 2, the Submariner Network presented the progress of AlgaeProBANOS. The presentation highlighted findings on optimizing the oil extraction process (conducted by Nofima using algae biomass from ALGIECEL) and promoted the Algae Accelerator program.
